Top 5 Things I Will NOT Miss

1. The washing machine!
2. The washing machine!
3. The washing machine!
4. The washing machine! and,
5. The washing machine!

First, I must say that I've very glad that we even have a washer and a dryer. But, they are very different from the Kenmore I'm used to. The dryer, other than taking forever, never really gave us any problems. (Once we figured out that the water has to be emptied from the machine after every 3-4 loads.)

The washer, on the other hand, has always had problems. Last Thursday, it finally gave out. For some reason it thinks that the outer door is not closed (yes, there are two doors). Therefore, the computer won't reset and the washer won't run. Someone is coming on Saturday to "take a look."

Alex gets husband of the year award for taking six loads of laundry, in four large Ikea bags, hooked to the double stroller, through the neighborhood to the nearest laundromat (next door to a very busy train station) and washing/drying it all!

So, while I'm very glad to be leaving behind our very temperamental washing machine, I'm very happy to follow my dear husband . . .

wherever he goes!

I think reliable laundry facilities may be the hardest thing to do without for a family. Alex does get an 'atta boy'!

Oh my gosh Sarah I feel so bad for you. I don't know what I would do without a reliable washer and dryer at this point. I hope it gets fixed soon and I love the pictures of Alex with all the laundry. Classic! What a good hubby! :)
