Liverpool

In Liverpool we did a lot of swimming at the hotel pool and we visited the Merseyside Maritime Museum at Albert Dock. The draw was Justin's love for big ships. Each new exhibit brought the same reaction: "Oh, look at this fantastic ship! I'm going on this one." He didn't want to leave the lower level of the museum, which was depicted as the inside of a ship, even though he was a little nervous about the dim lighting. He exclaimed "I want to stay down here forever! This is fantastic!" Can you guess what his word for the day was?!?! I couldn't help smiling at every delightful squeal!

McKenzie's favorite part of the trip was definitely the swimming pool. She loved her pretty swimsuit, she loved jumping, she loved racing, she didn't like falling, and she loved swimming with her "new friends" (any other kids in the pool).

An aside: This morning she woke me up with "Mama, I have to go really bad." This was a first for her. She's had a couple of accidents since the first diaper-free entry, but nothing noteworthy, and she never went back to diapers. But this was the first time she woke up from a dead sleep feeling the urge to go instead of just letting it go - yeah McKenzie!

Something noteworthy: She didn't go back to sleep. Instead she started making fake snoring noises which woke Justin up and sent them both into a stream of giggles! What a FANTASTIC way to wake up!!

GOOD JOB McKenzie!! I need her to come here and teach Lara how to use the potty. No matter how many times we call her a big girl and try to have her use the potty she is sure that she is still a "Baby"
