London Eye

Today I took the kids on the London Eye. Justin has been begging to go since we moved here and we kept waiting for a clear day . . . and waiting, and waiting. Yea, right, it's London, what were we thinking?! We bought our tickets and stood in line for nearly an hour (before McKenzie announced she had to go real bad and we convinced her to hold it for a while), then hopped on board for our flight. British Airways funded the project so there are lots of air travel innuendos. Other interesting facts, it took seven years to build and it has 32 capsules representing the 32 boroughs of London.

It takes almost 30 minutes to go all the way around but the excitement wore off quickly. Justin became more interested in the ice cream truck and playground he spied below. It was a spectacular view and now we can say we've patronized "the UK's most popular paid for visitor attraction."
