The Park

We went to the park a couple of times this week with friends from Justin's school. James is probably our only known full-bred British friend. This is the James Justin's imaginary friend "James" is named after. He's also married - according to McKenzie - to McKenzie. He is a cutie! (Watch out Riley, you may have some competition!)

This is Danny, another school friend. Danny was born in London (at home) but his parents and two older siblings (ages 20 and 22) are from Iran. His mother, Bushra, is amazing! I once asked her if she goes back to Iran much and she said no. She said her husband is not allowed back in the country and that if she took her children and they found out that they were his, they would not be allowed to leave. Later, in the same conversation, I asked her how she met the parents of the little girl she nannies and she explained that she has known her grandmother for some time as she works at the "torture recovery center" that her husband attends. I'm sure this woman's life is full of stories that I have only read about in books and yet, how do you ask? Do I really want to know? For now, we'll just enjoy our time in the park.
