one fell off and broke her ARM!

That was last friday. We weren't even sure there was anything wrong - she took a short nap after the "incident" and woke up her usual happy self. There wasn't any swelling and she could move all her fingers and bend her wrist, but after a couple of other pain-induced outbursts, we figured we'd get it x-rayed just to be sure. We took her to a clinic and they announced she had a "buckle fracture" which means the bone sort of wrinkles (like a green twig) - not quite a clean break. They put a splint on it for the weekend and wrote us a referral to the orthopedist. We were lucky enough to get in first thing this morning. She still doesn't enjoy wearing a cast - can you blame her?! - but she is much happier now that it's pink! Ah . . . my little tomboy!

Poor thing!!! But she's still a CUTIE - cast and all!!
That was eventful! Congrats on the mother of the first broken arm in our play group! I'm sorry I didn't get my hugs and play time today or get to hear this story first hand. From the way you've written this, it sounds like you've taken it as in stride as Mc. How ever do you stay so calm! The pink cast is awesome.
PS Tell M. that I broke my arm jumping on a couch while the babysitter was with me. I fell off the couch and on to my arm in a wrong way and no one knew it was broken until the next morning. I have similar pics of me with my cast. Only I was five and my cast was NOT pink. I feel cheated. Well not really.
Love the pink cast. What a brave girl!
