Josie's baby room

A reminder of what we started with . . . Ugh! I should have taken another "before" picture (this was the one on the realtor's website).  As time-consuming as McKenzie's room was to redo, this one really was the most difficult.  I can't say any more about this room other than "yea, it doesn't look like this anymore!"

And now . . .

McKenzie has since helped me wipe down and set up the crib and wash all the bedding.  She's so excited for "baby Josie" to get here and about being mama's little helper.  For her birthday I bought her a life-size babydoll and an old cradle at an antique shop, which I gave a fresh coat of paint.  Hopefully this will pacify her for at least a couple of months! More later!

I love that yellow. What is the name of it? I have been looking for a nice yellow and have not found one I liked.

Hi Kari! It's called Summer Sun (Valspar brand at Lowe's). With one coat it almost seemed too light to notice a contrast with the white, but after the second coat, it was perfect!

Your room looks great. Sorry I have been doing terrible with my blog. Thanks for the call to repentance. Did you see I actually posted something? Tell Justin that Ashely would love to see him again but, that it is his turn to come here. She was talking with a friend the other day and she told her that she was marrying Justin. Her friend wanted to know more about him so Ashley said, "He has white hair". Her friend responded, "Like a grandpa?". I almost died laughing. The whole conversation was hilarious. It is just a given at this point that she is marrying Justin. Just like the sky is blue.
